Mr. Rypma is a partner at Schenk, Boncher & Rypma. After clerking for the Honorable William B. Murphy at the Michigan Court of Appeals following his graduation from Valparaiso University School of Law (J.D. 1990; Delta Theta Phi), he began his law practice with this firm.

Mr. Rypma specializes in business acquisition and commercial and business law, as well as civil litigation and collections, and represents residential and commercial landlords.

A lifelong resident of this area, Mr. Rypma received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Calvin College. While in law school, he served as the Executive Editor of Student Writing for the Valparaiso University Law Review.

Mr. Rypma currently serves on the Planning Commission for the City of Walker.
